Comrise was established in 1984. In its early years, the company embarked upon several long-term marketing and bidding proposals in both the commercial and governmental arena. From 1990 through 1994, Comrise was a subcontractor to CSC on the ERSDSII for the Federal Aviation Administration, providing project outsourcing and acting as a LAN value-added reseller. In 1996, Comrise began to add to its technical expertise and managerial depth by hiring key Bell Labs Executives.
Subsequently, the business focus shifted to providing consulting and project outsourcing services to giant Telecommunications clients. This resulted in sustained, rapid business growth, which was soon followed by geographic expansion. In 1998, Comrise expanded its presence by opening a branch office in Washington, D.C. Then in 2000, in anticipation of the Asian market explosion, Comrise proceeded opened a satellite office in Beijing, China, and began developing working relationships with local companies in these regions. Recent years have also brought rapid growth to Comrise's expertise and success in Internet technologies. Until 1999, Comrise's Internet outsourcing division operated as an ASP, system integrator, and web development resource for Comrise's clients. In the year 2000, Comrise spun off this subsidiary as an independent company called iCIMS.com. ICIMS remains a Comrise partner in web-enablement and systems integration. iCIMS is also an application service provider (ASP), and its flagship product—iRecruiter--is a Web-based human resources information management system. In the last few years Comrise has built a more balanced client portfolio and has expanded its business to other areas, particularly to the Financial Services and Pharmaceutical industries. Comrise is now a preferred vendor of a number of Fortune 100 companies. Comrise continues the business in its core competencies while expanding its market widely and aggressively. Besides its headquarters in Hazlet, New Jersey, Comrise now has a branch in Phoenix, Arizona, as well as locations throughout China, in Beijing, Chengdu, Hong Kong, Quingdao, Shanghai, and Shenzhen. With its presence in these locations, Comrise's broad base of capabilities and its strategic alliances are continuously leveraged and strengthened.
